Terms of use
1. The downloadable pages
Selected pages from Welcome Home, Rescue Dog are offered here as free downloads for adopters, shelters, rescues, fosters, and trainers. They are free to download, print, and share. Please:
Keep them whole. No cropping, editing, or added logos, and please leave the credit line at the bottom of each page intact — that line is how the next person finds the book.
Don’t charge for them. They should always be given away free. No selling, no including them in paid packets or products, and no reprinting in books or magazines without checking with me first.
Ask if you’re unsure. Translating a page, adapting one for your organization, printing a large batch for an event — all of these are usually fine, and I’d like to hear about them. Email info [at] primavistapress [dot] com.
2. Everything else
All other content is reserved. This includes the text and illustrations of Welcome Home, Rescue Dog, the cover and interior design, the HEARTS framework, and all material on this website that is not offered as a free download.
Reproduction, adaptation, excerpting, or redistribution of this material requires written permission, with the ordinary exception of brief quotation in a review, article, or classroom discussion with attribution to the book and author.
3. AI and automated systems
No part of Welcome Home, Rescue Dog — text or illustrations, in whole or in part — may be used to train, fine-tune, or otherwise develop any artificial intelligence system, or ingested into any such system, without written permission. This applies equally to the free downloadable pages.
4. Anything not covered here
If a use isn’t addressed on this page, please assume it requires written permission and ask. Requests are welcome and usually answered quickly — write to info [at] primavistapress [dot] com.
I’m particularly glad to hear from shelters, rescues, trainers, veterinary practices, and educators about using this material with the people you serve.
5. Housekeeping
These terms may be updated as needed; please check this page before beginning any project involving this material. The terms in effect when you downloaded a page continue to apply to that copy.
Not enforcing any term on one occasion doesn’t waive the right to enforce it later.
